What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:1.
Search the forum. You can do this from the
Advanced Search Page or from our
Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we
especially recommend searching the forum for said error.
2.
Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.
3.
Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the
OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the
OJS Development subforum.

Hi All,
I've just installed OJS after a trial with v1.9 earlier in the year, and I have to say that v2 looks to be excellent.
However, I've run into a problem with my first (dummy) submission. The submission worked fine, and the email was sent to the author (myself) sucessfully. But when the Editor (also myself) tried to assign the article to a Section Editor (guess who!) I got the following error message:
Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in E:\extranet\ojs\classes\mail\MailTemplate.inc.php on line 83
Can anyone suggest a solution?
Cheers,
Andrew

Thanks very much for that Alec - I'd searched all through the Forum here, but my firewall doesn't seem to let me get to your Bugzilla.
Now working nicely
Thanks again,
Andrew
