Change Conference Setup Problem

I had set up a conference that accepted Abstracts only. I should have set it up for
Abstracts followed by Papers. We have already gone through the abstract review
process.

I then changed the conference type to "Abstracts followed by Papers" in Conference
Setup. But I do not have the "Invite Presentation" option under the abstract review page
only the "Accept Submission". I want to allow authors to move to the Paper upload
stage, but can't figure out how to do it. I suspect the problems are due to the fact
that I set up the conference incorrectly originally. Can someone help or have I messed
this up beyond recovery?

p.s. Somehow one paper (the first one in the In Review list) has moved to the paper review
stage and under abstract review the director decision is "Invite Presentation". I do not have
this option under abstract review for any of the other papers. I do not know if something I
did to this particular paper caused this to happen or it just changed accidently somehow
because it is the first one in the list of papers.

Hi Tony,

See viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4093&p=15830#p15830 for details on changing previous submission types. It requires that you run a MySQL command -- you're right in that all previous submissions are filed against the 'submission materials' type they were submitted as, eg. Abstract Only, and so on. Since this has come up a few times now, I may file a report to address it in future versions; if I do so I'll post a link in this thread.

This fixed the problems I was having and allowed authors to then upload their
papers.
