Forum rules
What to do if you have a technical problem with OCS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved. Please note that this FAQ is OJS-centric, but most issues are applicable to both platforms.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OCS Conference Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OCS Development subforum.

Individual Domain Name for Each Conference in one OCS inst.

How can you give an individual domain name to each conference in one OCS installation? How can this be done via mod_rewrite?

This discussion is being continued from its OJS counterpart here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3546

******
To enable the mod_rewrite log, just put the following directives between the <VirtualHost> blocks.

RewriteLogLevel 9
RewriteLog /path/to/where/you/want/the/log

*Note that the RewriteLogLevel directive is variable between 1-9 . Higher levels will log in much more detail, but will decrease your server performance.

Hi Rene,

OK, the goal here is to see how Apache is mapping URLs (which you can see) into rewritten URLs (which you can't), so we can debug why OCS isn't working with your current set of rules. I'm not sure what level will be necessary, but I suspect a 1 or 2 would be plenty. Try enabling logging, make a few requests, and then post both the external URL and the resulting mapping from the log file. I'll see if I can pinpoint where things are going awry.
