Backdating

I was wondering if there was any way to backdate things. I know this is not something you want people to do to protect the integrity of the journals.We are just getting started on the system and we need to back date reviews and also publishing. For example, people did not submit or review using the system, and so I want to assign reviewers etc., and give the assignments the correct (back) dates for tracking history. Also, I want the journal editions to have the correct publication date no matter if I take down and republish, as we have already done when we have spotted errors. Thanks for your help, Jenny

Hi,
It is possible to change the publication date from any issue: with an editor profile, select an issue in "Back Issues"; on the link "Issue Data", the field Status on "Identification" block allows to change the published date. This process protect the integrity of the journal because just an editor can do this.
For retroactive issues, we use "Quick Submission" that omits the entire review process and puts the articles in an easy and fast way, but really, we can't to keep the original dates (received, accepted, approved) - that are important to verify the publication's quality.
