Unfortunately, that perl script probably isn't a great starting point, especially as it is a single-instance use case rather than a more generic generation script. . You could almost certainly write a plugin to provide the information RePEc needs, but you would need some development experience on your team; I don't think it would necessarily be as easy as modifying any of the currently existing plugins.
