PKP Development Team,
We are currently using OJS.2.2.2 and would like to decide upgrade to 2.2.3 is essential or not. After going through wiki of OJS, the road map (
http://lib-pkp.lib.sfu.ca/wiki/index.php/OJS_Roadmap) lists OJS.2.3. will be released by the end of June 2009;
Is there a forecasted release date available for the release of OJS.2.3.?
Thanks,
Vijay

Hi Vijay,
OJS 2.3 has slipped a bit -- we're aiming for a release around the end of August. I'll likely update that roadmap in the next little bit to reflect this. However, the 2.2.2->2.2.3 upgrade should be fairly trivial, as it's largely a maintenance release.
Cheers,
James

When will the stable version of 2.3 hit the road? Any plans yet?

Hi ieren,
OJS 2.3 is considered stable, but because of the amount of new code, it'll require a little bit more stewardship than OJS 2.2.3. We'll be releasing OJS 2.3.1 very shortly, and it will include a few fixes for issues that we found in 2.3.0. I'd suggest waiting for that release.
Happy birthday!
