Matt Crider has just written a new guide for integrating LDAP and/or Shibboleth with both OJS and OCS. It's available in both
HTML and
PDF.
This guide illustrates how to set up LDAP or Shibboleth authentication with OJS or OCS. Please note that it is not a guide on installing and configuring either service on its own, and only deals with integrating our software with each service.

The instructions start out by saying:
To setup LDAP in OJS and OCS, log in as the Site Administrator, and under 'Site Management' on the Administrator's home page, click on 'Authentication Sources'. Under 'Create authentication source', select 'LDAP' and click 'Create'.
I just installed OCS 2.1.1-2 and it does not have the LDAP authentication plugin by default. I would suggest adding instructions on how to install the LDAP plugin on the current release.

Hi Badger,
Thanks for the catch -- I've added a note to that effect to the guide. I've mucked with some of our document generation functions since the LDAP guide was put up -- if you were looking at the HTML previously, some URLs have changed slightly - but you can still reach the relevant page from the above link.
Cheers,
James
