Hello,
I've inherited maintenance of an OJS installation done from a CVS pull of pre-2.2; not OJS 2.1.1 stable.
To figure out what I'm dealing with exactly, I intend to (hopefully) determine when it was pulled, and check diffs since that time until now (and very likely changes from 2.1.1 up to the pull). Then I'll work on extracting modifications in our (now customized) tree and turn them into plugins or (at the minimum) proper patches, and move OJS to a stable release so we can upgrade when the time comes, or track security fixes when required.
I'm inquiring generally about OJS development. What is the current 2.2 development branch (so I can pull it's changelog)? How is that development proceeding, is there a release date in mind? I'm also open to comments on my above approach.
Thanks.
Regards,
Richard

Hi Richard,
Can you not simply use the "cvs diff" command? That should check all local modifications against the CVS equivalents. Then you can try back-merging those changes into a 2.1.1 installation.

A good suggestion, thanks. I spent ten minutes perusing the cvs history, but hadn't returned to this yet. I'll be able to get what I need by setting the date option of cvs diff, it seems.

Richard
