One of my clients has asked about sending HTML emails. I envisage this working something like this:
- Add a 'Is HTML?' checkbox to email templates which enables the TinyMCE editor for that template.
- Make necessary change to email sending code so that email templates with the HTML option checked are sent as text/html
More advanced features might include automatic link tracking and an online version of the email as a fallback.
A complementary feature would be a user email address export plugin. This could function similarly to the existing user XML export but would output a plain text list of email addresses that can be easily copy-and-pasted into an email application.
Cheers
Mark
