What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Migrating OJS but missing Journal Titles

Postby karnova » Tue Apr 16, 2013 6:32 pm

I have migrated OJS from the old location (http://ejurnal.its.ac.id) to (http://ejurnal2.its.ac.id). I copied the whole folder to the new location and reduplicated the database using sql dump. The new site is "working". But there are some problems. As you can see that in the new site (ejurnal2) I'm missing journal title and description in the home page. When you view one of the journal, the journal title and description is also gone. The blocks in the right side is missing.
I tried to re-input the title and description through journal manager -> setup, but after I click save, the title and description that I've just re-input still make no affect, they are still missing.
One other thing is that it seems that the frame is changing. I suppose it became only two column (left column is gone).
Does anyone know what seems to be the problem?

Hi karnova,

I suspect the file permissions are wrong in your cache/ directory.

Hi alec,

thanks for the answer. I have made some changes in the file permissions and now it works.
