What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:
1. Search the forum

to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

We are starting a new journal online but we have a strange problem: an author submitted an article, but I, as a reviewer and administrator, I can find it! From the author's side, it can be seen that the article is just waiting for "assignment" but... Who is supposed to "assign" it to a reviewer??
Another question: can an author accept (and put online) an article written by himself/herself as an author?

Normally, you need someone who is enrolled as an Editor to assign reviewers. Journal Managers can enroll users as Editors. Site Administrators do not have access to the review assignment process in OJS (they administer the 'site', not the journal).
Authors can accept and put their own work online if they are also enrolled as an editor in the journal.
