What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

The user's title, affiliation, and mailing address are multilingual, but not the name, email, or phone numbers. Are you looking for a way to enter a different contact for each language, or do you need the name itself to be multilingual (e.g. for Chinese and English names)?

Hi, Alec!
Thank you for your answer!
Yes, the "Name" is not multilangual. In out situation the contact person has scientific degrees which are differ in non english language. So yes - the name and perhaps phone (for additional contact) need to be multilangual.
Thank you!

Hi Garant,

Currently that field isn't multilingual by design. We've had a few requests to make names multilingual in several parts of the system, but have held off on doing so comprehensively because the requirements for it are pretty varied, and also because it would be better to consider non-Western name representations (i.e. those other than first name, middle name, last name) at the same time. In the meantime, I'd suggest making this a custom modification in your installation.
