Upgrade and the lost passwords

Postby Ajakss » Thu Jun 21, 2012 9:03 am

Dear,

I have upgraded the system from 2.3.3-3 to 2.3.7 and I have found that user's passwords are incorrect. Is it possible to recover original passwords not forcing the users to change their?
I have read many threads devoted this problem but no idea how to fix it.
Thanks in advance for your solutions.

Kind regards,

Adam

Hi Adam,

This is almost always caused by an accidental change to the "encryption" setting in your config.inc.php file. The setting must be the same between your old and new installations / versions.
