Institutional Subscription CIDR entry stripped.

Postby jheckman » Tue May 08, 2012 7:26 am

Hello friends.

I'm working with a journal who is attempting to enter their Subscription IP addresses with CIDR. When the form is saved, the /24 (or /16 ... whatever) is stripped from the value.
It's also not displayed in the database.

Is this just a display issue, or is the form not processing CIDR properly.

I've upgraded this journal to OJS 2.3.7 and the problem still exists.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Jason,

This is in fact a bug that I've filed here.

Can you please try applying the patch posted in the bug report and confirm that the issue is fixed for you.

Although the CIDR IP range is being saved to the correct values in the db, because the CIDR is being removed on display of the form, subsequent edits/saves to the institutional subscription will overwrite the previously correct values in the db with only the base IP address of the range.

Cheers,
Michael
