Hi!!!
We are uploading the issues using the Import/export article plugin. We have articles where more than one author has contributed to the article.
When we try to insert more that one author in xml it gives an error. Is there some way to add more than one author for an article?
At present this is what we are doing, but the author information goes all haywire.
<author primary_contact="true">
<firstname>John Doe,
</firstname>
<middlename> </middlename>
<lastname>Jack Stream
</lastname>
<email> </email>
</author>
Where John Doe and Jack Stream both are authors.

Hi Sim,
Use multiple "author" elements, with one for each author.

Hi Sim,
Have you validated the XML using an XML validator? That will help to identify problems. Please also include the error message when you encounter a problem.

Hi Sim,
Did you validate the XML? Did you get an error message during the import process?

hi thanks again!!!
no error report by the XML validator...but i guess the problem was with the email ids...we were using common email id for all the authors...we replaced it with blanks and made email id not mandatory...And it worked...
I cud that have been prb...
Also the "&" sign was giving a prb thats one more thing we replaced.
