why metadata is required ONLY for sumplementary file?

why metadata is required ONLY for sumplementary file?

Hello!

When I publish an article, only SUPLEMENTARY file metadata required. Why this happen?.

I was expecting that I could have the chance to write the metadata of the MAIN file associated to the article (for example a pdf file that shows the whole article..)

Hi dsanchez,

As Editor, you can do this by going to the Submissions "Summary" page and clicking the "Edit Metadata" link.

Thank you. However I don't understand why the editor has to do this. Is not better than the autor publish this metadata for the mail file and the editor just review the info?

Hi dsanchez,

The author can also modify the metadata via the above means, as long as the submission is still in the editing process.
