Installation Problem - Blank page at ojs/index.php

Postby farang » Sun Dec 11, 2005 5:54 am

Hello,

I get a blank page after uploading ojs (latest) to my server and going to .../ojs/index.php.

My phpinfo() shows PHP Version 4.4.1.

I also get the following in my error_log:

----
[11-Dec-2005 04:58:46] PHP Warning: ini_set() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/teachin/public_html/ojs/includes/driver.inc.php on line 39
[11-Dec-2005 04:58:46] PHP Warning: import(core/Core.inc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/teachin/public_html/ojs/includes/functions.inc.php on line 21
[11-Dec-2005 04:58:46] PHP Fatal error: import(): Failed opening required 'core/Core.inc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/teachin/public_html/ojs/includes/functions.inc.php on line 21
----

Any help appreciated.

Hello Farang,

It looks like your server administrator has disabled the ini_set function, which is used by OJS to override some php.ini settings. OJS requires ini_set to configure several core features like session management, multi-byte strings, etc. You'll need to contact your server administrator to get ini_set enabled.
