What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Possible bug when uploading supplementary file

Postby svillanueva » Fri Feb 22, 2008 4:51 am

Hello,

I've tried to upload an 16Mb-avi file as a supplementary file of a submission (logged as the author) and once I have selected it, when I upload the file, I return to the first step of the submission. Then, I go to the active submissions page and I find it as incomplete. IMHO, very strange :-S

Thanks in advance,

Sergi Villanueva.

Hi Sergi,

Have you checked what php's memory_limit is set to? You may also want to search the forums for timeout issues -- Apache, IIS and PHP all have situations where they might time out, and uploading a 16MB file might very well be one of them.

For example, check the following:
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1382&p=4251&hilit=timeout#p4251

Cheers,
James
