Problem installing on IIS

Postby jstorry » Thu Feb 07, 2008 7:06 pm

Hi,

First time user here trying to install the Open Journal System on IIS.

Specs:

- OJS 2.2
- Windows Server 2003
- IIS 6.0
- PHP 5.2.3
- MySQL 5.0

When I try to access index.php/index/install I receive this error:

Warning: Smarty::include(C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ojs\cache\t_compile\%%7D^7DC^7DC17B21%%install.tpl.php) [function.Smarty-include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ojs\lib\smarty\Smarty.class.php on line 1270

Warning: Smarty::include() [function.include]: Failed opening 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ojs\cache\t_compile\%%7D^7DC^7DC17B21%%install.tpl.php' for inclusion (include_path='.;C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ojs/includes;C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ojs/classes;C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ojs/pages;C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ojs/lib;C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ojs/lib/smarty;.;C:\PHP\pear') in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ojs\lib\smarty\Smarty.class.php on line 1270

And sure enough that file (%%7D...) does, indeed, not exist. But I still have no idea how to go about fixing this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi There,

Can you tell me what permissions your cache folders have (cache/ AND cache/t_compile/) ? They have to be readable and writable by your web server.

Thanks,
smiri
