What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

TinyMCEPlugin corrupt links

Postby eruthes » Tue Jun 26, 2007 6:27 am

When I'm writing a text on "For authors" in Setup 5.7 (for ex.) the TinyMCEPlugin plugin corrupts the links for "About the Journal" page. It changes the link from
Code: Select all
http://localhost/ojs/index.php/journal/about
to
Code: Select all
../../about
It loses the journal reference...
To do the link works correctly I need to Disable the plugin, edit the link reference and after Enable the plugin.

Hi Eduardo,

This is actually a known limitation of TinyMCE, although there are a few workarounds. They have a FAQ on the subject at: http://wiki.moxiecode.com/index.php/TinyMCE:FAQ#Domain_Absolute_URLs. More recent versions of TinyMCE have a 'relative_urls' parameter which can be set to 'false' to use absolute URLs like you require.

More information is also available at: http://www.lost-in-code.com/2007/05/26/tinymce-absolute-urls-not-relative/. We are considering moving TinyMCE into OJS as part of the default libraries, in which case we should be able to include this functionality by default in an upcoming release of OJS.

Hope this helps,
