What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Redaing Tools Definition Function

Postby shier-jones » Tue May 15, 2007 6:44 am

I have been experiencing some problems with the reading tools. Initially they did not appear at all - until I attempted to create a new reading tool version. Then, like magic they all appeared (never knew there were so many!) Brilliant. :D
I selected the humanities tool, and everything is fine except the definitions.
When I double click on an item - nothing is transferred to the selction box in the new window that pops up.
Any idea why?
It doesn't seem to matter whether I am reading the HTML or the PDF version.

Hi shier-jones,

Do you have a URL you could send me for testing? If you'd rather not make it public, PM it to me. Also let me know what platform (i.e. operating system and browser version) you're using.

Note that only HTML galleys will work with the dictionary look-up feature; PDFs won't.
