no "announcement" link on "current" page

Postby shimrah » Tue Apr 24, 2007 12:21 pm

Hey there,

When I click on "Current" to view the current table of contents, everything works fine except that the "Announcements" button disappears.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Shimrah,

The journal home page contains the welcome message as configured on page 5 and, if enabled, the announcements summary, table of contents, etc. This is distinguished from the actual table of contents page, which only contains the table of contents and not the announcements etc. The behavior you describe is by design.

Hi Alec,

Thanks. But it is not the announcements I'm hoping to see on the Current page. It's the announcements button in the navigation bar. It seems to disappear on that page.

Cheers

Hi Shimrah,

Thanks for the clarification. This bug will be corrected once bug #2702 (http://pkp.sfu.ca/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2702) is implemented; if you'd like to work around it in the meantime, you can add a link to the Announcements section into the appropriate part of templates/issue/header.tpl:
Code: Select all
<li><a href="{url page="announcement"}">{translate key="announcement.announcements"}</a></li>
