comes up with a 404 error
what do I need to do to fix that?
viewtopic.php?t=853 talks about the dangers of allowing non-registered users to use this function and suggests a solution with the offer of more explicit instructions. Have they been posted anywhere?

Hi Jason,
This is a known issue, and there's a patch to correct it; the bugzilla entry is http://pkp.sfu.ca/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2366 and the patch is at http://pkp.sfu.ca/cvs/cvsweb.cgi/ojs2/pages/rt/RTHandler.inc.php.diff?r1=1.36;r2=1.37.

Hi Alec;
This is exactly the same patch that I just installed for the previous problem. Do I install it again? I couldn't see any differences. But with the patch installed the problem is still there, unless I'm missing something.

Hi Jason,
Have you removed the check from the template file that verifies that the user is logged in, or are you using a stock OJS? If you've removed the check, the problem is most likely in the second of the changes suggested at the thread linked above (pages/rt/RTHandler.inc.php).

haven't knowingly touched the template yet. Am just printing out the various manuals for OJS before I start in on that.
