What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

problem with directories for journal

When we set up our 2.x system, we had a 1.1.9 version running on the same server /journal/ for 1.1.9 and /journal2007 for 2.x. I set it up fine, imported from old to new. Then copied /journal/ to /journal.old/ and /journal2007 to journal. No problem, except we noticed that some of the urls stuck to the old system for example If you're on this page:
<http://www.theharrow.com/journal/index.php/journal/information/authors> and
click on "register," you get a page not found alert for
<http://theharrow.com/journal2007/index.php/journal/user/register>; ditto if
you click on "log in"; the missing page is

I did a temporary fix of ln -s journal journal2007 to allow users to register, but this still leads to confusion.

Where can i go to check that there aren't legacy old urls? And or which files would have this problem so I can fix them manually?

Hi Jason,

There are a few places to check:
  • In config.inc.php
  • In your Journal Setup pages if you've entered any URLs manually, typically on page 5.
Otherwise, OJS should start using the new address without any changes.
