Hello,
When downloading a submitted article for reviewing,
I get a truncated pdf file.
I've checked that the original is correct.
The original is 6606331 KB, the downloaded file is 6596878 KB
and upload_max_filesize is set to 100 MB in php.ini

Hi Pierre,
This may be a browser timeout, in which case there's not much you can do; please try with another web browser and see if the behavior is the same. Alternately, there are also post datasize limits in your PHP and Apache configurations that could be causing the truncation.

It's not a browser problem ( I tried with 3 different browsers).
It's not a size limit problem (I replaced the ~6M file par a ~11M file and it works).
It's not an Apache problem (I made a link to the file in my DocumentRoot, saved the link target and it works).
I changed thePHP version to the last one (5.2.0) and the problem persists.
Even when setting the PHP error level to E_ALL, I have nothing in my logs.
In brief, I don't understand where the problem comes from.
Nevertheless, if you have no idea, I'll try to investigate further and
inform you of my conclusion, if any.

There is a similar thread at http://pkp.sfu.ca/support/forum/viewtopic.php?t=52 you might look into; in particular, have a look at the corrupted download with a text editor and see if there's a PHP error message hiding in it, generally either right at the beginning or right at the end.
