Hi,
i just wanted to know how to change the welcome message in the very first home page that has the VIEW JOURNAL link at the bottom. i looked in the SETUP section in the Journal Management but there's no way to edit that description. i also checked in config.php but didn't find anything.

Hi Marco,
What you want to be doing is a Site Manager function, not a Journal Manager function - although your issue does raise the point that this may be counter-intuitive. The way to access this is as follows:
- from the same page, click on "User Home"; this will take you to the site homepage
- from this page, click on "Site Administrator"; this will take you to the site manager page
- from this page, click on "Hosted Journals"; this will show a list of all journals on the site
- click "Edit" for the journal you want to edit, and you should see an area to modify the journal's description.

Thanks, MJ -- I'm not sure if the following note applies to your situation, Marco, but perhaps it's worth adding.
Typically for single-journal implementations, we recommend that you configure OJS to redirect directly to that journal when the home page is requested. You can configure this using the "Redirect" pull-down in the Site Administrator's "Site Settings" page.
