File permission error during OJS backup

Postby drvenkatesanj » Fri May 02, 2014 2:34 am

Dear Friend,
I was trying to take the backup of our installation from the site administrator page.
I also configured the config.php file according to the instructions displayed in the page itself.
Now it displays
"WARNING: An error may have occurred during the backup process. The most common cause is file permissions."
Can you help me in resolving this issue.
Sincerely,
VJ.

Hi VJ,

Can you look in your error logs for a more specific message? If you're backing up via the web tool, the web server will need at least read permissions for everything it has to back up.

Regards,
Jason

Dear Alec,
I asked my hosting service provider to avail the read permission.
They responded with the permission. But still the page displays same message.
Where I can look for more specific error messages in the portal?
Sincerely,
VJ.
