Forum rules
What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

you mean that the php.ini file should be like this?

Thanks again

Hi Alec,
sorry for disturbing you su much, it's because we are really in a crazy hurry now since we need to publish the journal as soon as possible.
I have tried to upload the php.ini file as written above but still the problem is there.
Our Hosting Provider has revealed to be totally untrustable and we only have this forum as a hope to solve the problem.
If you have any more suggestion, it would be more than helpful to us.

Thanks a lot again, regards

Hi lmancini,

You can use colon (:) characters to separate multiple paths, so it would be...
Code: Select all
include_path = ".:/home/aspzscjm/journals:/home/aspzscjm/journals/lib/pkp/lib/htmlpurifier/library"

Hi Alec,

thanks a lot for your kindness, but it's really a hard case...
I edited the file as you told me but the problem is still there: http://mimesisedizioni.it/journals/inde ... ue/archive
The file php.ini should be uploaded in the root, right?
I've uploaded as well in the directory of the OJS installation, just to be sure...

I am wondering what else can we do...

Hi lmancini,

It doesn't look like your changes are taking effect. Different servers are set up to accept changes to your PHP configuration in different ways -- e.g. via php.ini, or via .htaccess. You'll have to find out what your own server supports. Usually it's available in your host's documentation database.

Hi Alec,
thanks a lot for your answer, again. We have tried also through the .htaccess method, but in vain.
At this point, we have asked again to our Provider to solve the situation.
By the way, for clarity, we have found an other error similar but different when we try to upload an image (see attached file).
It seems to confirm the theory that something is not working with the php functions at a server lever, right?

Thanks again, best regards
Leonardo

Hi Leonardo,

Yes, it seems like there's something peculiar about your server's setup, but so far I don't think it's going to be a tremendous amount of trouble to work around. To fix this message, you could try applying this patch in your lib/pkp subdirectory.

Hi Alec,

thanks again for your wonderful support. Pardon my ignorance, but to "apply" that patch it means that I should upload it like this: journals/lib/pkp/ac1d7d502c8a25dde059f62cd803d5cb65c70de2.diff

?

If so, I've uploaded and still nothing works here :)
(it's going to be a nightmare...)

Thanks again!

Hi Leonardo,

To apply patches you'll need to use the standard "patch" tool. See the link I posted earlier today at viewtopic.php?f=8&t=12086&p=46285#p46285 for more information. (The only difference with this patch is that you'll need to be in the lib/pkp subdirectory in order to apply it, which is unusual.)
