What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

PHP Error Log

My hosting service provider is about to discontinue PHP 5.2 and I've tried upgrading to PHP 5.4 at their request, but has been encountering the problems below. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance:

Hi profps,

What version of OJS are you running?

Are there any modifications? It looks in particular like the index.php wrapper has been modified -- see the error messages referencing lines 61 and 69.

Thanks Alec. It's OJS 2.3.6.0

The modification occurred when I tried to upgrade by decompressing 2.4.3 and manually transferring the decompressed files to JAMMO's public_html
Spent all night doing this and ended up with a messed up site!

Any further advice will be appreciated.

Cheers!
Paul

Hi Paul,

I'd suggest starting again from the tarball -- it sounds like your files are mixed together and it would be very difficult to sort out by hand. Start in a fresh directory so that you're sure you know what's going into it.

I've just successfully upgraded from 2.3.6.0 to 2.4.3 and as I tried to work in the system the following errors show up:
http://www.journalacademicmarketingmyst ... nsInReview

DB Error: The SELECT would examine more than MAX_JOIN_SIZE rows; check your WHERE and use SET SQL_BIG_SELECTS=1 or SET MAX_JOIN_SIZE=# if the SELECT is okay

DB Error: The SELECT would examine more than MAX_JOIN_SIZE rows; check your WHERE and use SET SQL_BIG_SELECTS=1 or SET MAX_JOIN_SIZE=# if the SELECT is okay

DB Error: The SELECT would examine more than MAX_JOIN_SIZE rows; check your WHERE and use SET SQL_BIG_SELECTS=1 or SET MAX_JOIN_SIZE=# if the SELECT is okay

Can anyone help?
Thanks.

Hi profps,

Please don't double-post; it clutters the forum. I've followed up on your post at http://pkp.sfu.ca/support/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11791&p=45215#p45215.

Hi Alec,
I have no intention to clog the forum. It was an honest mistake!

Cheers!
