Hi,
We are using OJS 2.0 to manage the journals written in Catalan. To adapt
our site, we have made the translation of the next locales in Catalan:
./dbscripts/xml/data/locale/ca_ES --> Only the text we use is translated.
./locale/ca_ES
./plugins/importexport/native/locale/ca_ES
./rt/ca_ES --> Only the reading tools we use are translated
We would like to know the steps to follow to send those translations to
OJS community.
Thanks a lot,
Marc

Hi Marc,
We only include complete translations with the OJS codebase (although a Help translation is optional), but if another Catalan-speaker wishes to work with your partial translation, I'll put them in touch with you. If you'd like to update the translation to OJS 2.1.1, there is a tool (tools/localeCheck.php) distributed with the current release to check for missing locale keys and email messages.
Thanks for helping to make OJS more multilingual!
Regards,
Alec Smecher

Dear Marc,
Are there a lot of english chains missed?
If you don't mind (and I find some spare time) I will try to follow your work.
Cheers,

Does somebody have the complete translation to the Catalan?. If he needs help I can give a hand. I am interested because we are going to get a scientific magazine on microbiology going.
Thanks
Manel

Hi Manel (& all),
We're finishing a set of tools to help maintain translations, which will make the process much less time-consuming and complicated. Once these tools are finished, we'll contact community members who are interested in translating and post an announcement here, and begin the process of updating and completing translations for the upcoming 2.2 release (which is expected early in the new year).

Alec Smecher
