Forum rules
What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Assign reviewer error

Postby mihaiug » Tue Nov 26, 2013 11:21 pm

If I try to assign a reviewer to an article that was submitted without file upload (author mistake) a blank page is displayed.
In the log file the following error is reported:
Code: Select all
PHP Fatal error:  Call to a member function getId() on a non-object in /var/www/vhosts/ojs/html/classes/submission/sectionEditor/SectionEditorAction.inc.php on line  128, referer: http://myserverhost/index.php/MyJournalAlias/editor/selectReviewer/570

The ojs version is 2.4.2 with all recommended patches and php version is 5.3.3.

Hi Mihai,

Please try the patch at http://pkp.sfu.ca/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=8489; it should correct the problem.
