What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Hello all,

I have an OJS 2.4.0 running on Linux, PHP 5.4.4-14+deb7u4 and Apache/2.2.22 (Debian) and I found the following error.

Using the the Journal Manager role I got a blank page when trying to access the manager/announcements and manager/notifications pages.

I turned stack trace on and both errors now returns the following log message:

404 Not Found

File: ../lib/pkp/classes/core/PKPPageRouter.inc.php line 230
Function: Dispatcher->handle404()

File: ../lib/pkp/classes/core/Dispatcher.inc.php line 133
Function: PKPPageRouter->route(Object(Request))

File: ../lib/pkp/classes/core/PKPApplication.inc.php line 189
Function: Dispatcher->dispatch(Object(Request))

File: ../ojs/inquietude/index.php line 63
Function: PKPApplication->execute()

At apache error log I found the following line

"GET /index.php/revista/notification HTTP/1.1" 500 288 "../index.php/revista/notification/settings" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_8_3) AppleWebKit/536.29.13 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0.4 Safari/536.29.13"

Does anyone know how to solve it?

Hi mendesrocha,

If upgrading to OJS 2.4.2 is a possibility, I'd suggest starting there.

Are you sure you've got the paths correct? The path "manager/notifications" looks wrong to me.

Also, there may be an additional error log for PHP errors, in addition to the one for Apache errors. You can see where this is configured by looking in your phpinfo() output.
