Access control of abstract page

Postby mokeke » Fri Oct 11, 2013 1:38 pm

Dear Team,

I would like to publish subscription based journal.
Now I want to make "abstract page" open to public, but PDF and HTML pages restricted for subscribers.

Could you please kindly let me know if this is available or not....

I believe this function is interesting to many people, since readers can see if the contents are valuable before subscription....

Hi mokeke,

This is how subscriptions work in OJS. The full content to articles (the PDFs or HTML versions, for example), are restricted. The abstracts are available.

An example of a journal set up this way:

Hi Jason,

Thank you so much for your prompt response!
I've just confirmed that the system works as per you mentioned after clearing browser cache.

Again, thanks a lot.
