What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OJS Editorial Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OJS Development subforum.

Links and images submitted in content editor not working

Postby gemusehandler » Thu Sep 26, 2013 10:21 am

Hi, we recently upgraded OJS to 2.4.2. Everything works but... the links and images that were submitted using the content editor (now TinyMCE) aren not working.

Take for instance http://abe.tudelft.nl/issue/archive. The line "PDF // ePUB // Paperback: Full colour $34 // 254 pages" contains three hyperlinks. Role-over hoover works but Safari's webinspector shows that the word PDF is just contained between <a> PDF </a>. The content editor shows a full internal link.

In a similar way the images that were uploaded in the content editor have gone missing on the html page while they are clearly visible in the content editor.

Any idea what is causing this? Help is much appreciated.

Hi gemusehandler,

Check the allowed_html setting in your config.inc.php configuration file (and see the template in config.TEMPLATE.inc.php). We changed the HTML filter we were using and the new one may be stricter.
