Hi ubaiddev,

I suspect this is due to an old TinyMCE cache file still referencing your old URL. Try deleting the .gz file in the cache subdirectory; it should be re-generated on the next request that includes a TinyMCE field. If it is, check your abstract again and see if it's displayed correctly.

Hi Ubaid,

I suggest examining the entries in article_settings for setting_name='title' and setting_name='abstract', comparing the working articles against the ones that aren't working. In particular, look at the "locale" column.

Hi Ubaid,

Check and re-save your language settings as Journal Manager; it's possible that something has gone wrong there. Your article_settings with setting_name = 'title' and 'locale' (and many others) should definitely have locale set properly, so if you've updated the value of that column to en_US (for English), that's an improvement.

Dear Alec,

I found the language pages in journal manager section and in site administrator page.
I have attached the screenshots.

in the site administrator > languages

there is a link which says "Reload Locale" when I click on it shows a dialog box with this text:
"Are you sure you want to reload this locale? This will erase any existing locale-specific data such as customized email templates."

I didn't press okay button. Don't know if it is okay or not.

please guide me what should I do next.

Thanks

Hi Ubaid,

What do you get for...
Code: Select all
SELECT journal_id, primary_locale FROM journals;
select journal_id, setting_value from journal_settings where setting_name like '%Locales';
Finally, is there anything listed in the server's error log?

When you moved to the new server, did you use the same code, or is it possible that you installed a different version of the code than the one you had on your old host?

Dear Alec,

No I didn't get any error while transferring the database.

and these are the steps which I use for upgrading my ojs 2.3.6 to 2.4.2

I download the new 2.4.2 and upload it with the customized .css file, header.php, article.php, and site.php.

and then I upgrade the database while clicking on upgrade button in installation mode.

All things were correct not a single error.

I didn't do any manual editing in database I don't know how to work on it.

please let me know if I did something wrong.

Thanks

Hi Ubaid,

I suspect this will be resolved if you apply the recommended patches for OJS 2.4.2 prior to running the upgrade script. (In particular, bug #8338 is a likely cause.) If you can, revert your database to the 2.3.x version, apply the patches to your 2.4.2 code, then run the upgrade script again. (Be careful if your modifications contain a mix of your own code and ours; if you simply upload the modified files again to your installation without updating the portions of our code they contain, you will likely run into problems.)

Hi Ubaid,

For information on applying patches, see http://docs.moodle.org/dev/How_to_apply_a_patch.

What results do you get for the queries at http://pkp.sfu.ca/support/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=10617#p41334?
