What to do if you have a technical problem with OJS:
1. Search the forum

Trying to get OJS setup to use LDAP (Active Directory) but having problems. So I configure everything in the LDAP settings.
I have an existing user in OJS. So I click to edit their profile and I change the Authentication Source to LDAP plugin just configured. When I try to login to OJS with this user using their LDAP (AD) username and password it does not let me.
I’m not sure if my problem trying to login is because the user is already in OJS database and not a new user registration. We don't have any of the options checked for Sync username and password.
We want them to use their LDAP/AD username and password to login. If they change LDAP/AD username and password from outside of OJS they should use that new username and password to login.
I'm getting internal error 500.

Have a look at some of the other LDAP threads. Unfortunately LDAP support has not been well maintained, so you can expect to have to do some tinkering.
