What to do if you have a technical problem with OMP:
1. Search the forum
. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page
or from our Google Custom Search
, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend
searching the forum for said error.
2. Check the FAQ
to see if your question or error has already been resolved.
3. Post a question

subforum; if you have a development question, try the OMP Development
if I want to register a new user - can I simply do it by inserting the data to users and user_user_groups in the database?
I did it that way and it works fine, still I fear inconsistancies or other problems later on. We have a lot of users that we need to add to the omp database so the GUI is no alternative for us.

Yes, working via the database is fine. FYI, we're working on the import/export tools and expect them to include user import/export for the OMP 1.2 release.
