Forum rules
What to do if you have a technical problem with OMP:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OMP Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OMP Development subforum.

certificate alert with https

Postby UBWolf » Thu Apr 10, 2014 4:30 am

Hi there,

I have a problem using our OMP installation with https. I get a certificate alert in the url bar and I think it might have something to do with this part:

<script src="http://www.google.com/jsapi"></script>

Do you plan to change this? Or is it possible to store this code locally (which would also be better for security reasons)?

Greetings
Daniela

Hi Daniela,

To use a local copy instead of the CDN, turn off the "enable_cdn" option in your config.inc.php configuration file.

Hi Alec,

thank you for your reply! We tried that but unfortunately the certificate alert is still there. Do you have any ideas how this can be? There are some links to pkp-websites, but I am not sure if they are the reasons for this alert.

Daniela

Hi Daniela,

Is your installation publicly accessible? If so, please PM me the URL and I'll take a quick look.

Hi Daniela,

The unencrypted content appears to be coming in via your cached CSS file. Try deleting cache/*.css and requesting your page (via https) in order to regenerate the cache with the correct (encrypted) URLs.
