What to do if you have a technical problem with OMP:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OMP Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OMP Development subforum.

Making list of supporters visible

Postby stefan » Sat Jan 18, 2014 7:38 am

Hi,

We have a database that contains supporters of our OA efforts:

http://hpsg.fu-berlin.de/OALI/sign/supporters

When we asked people to sign there we also asked whether they want to work as reviewers, typesetters, proofreaders and want to be readers. Now that our press is fully functional and the first books will be out soon, we want to import this data into OMP and basically get rid of our scripts.

In principle OMP could take over the function of our script. What is missing right now is a way to make the names of the supporters publicly visible. There should be a check box "show my name and affiliation on the supporters' page".

One of the key issues of new OA publishers is that they have to build reputation. A list of supporters indicates the status of a press in the field. It would be great to have such supporter pages for presses. In 1.1? =:-)

Best wishes

Stefan
