This might be a little difficult to explain, but I'll try. We are harvesting from an OAI repository which is shared by several institutions. By default, the OAI data provider appears in the Harvester2 browse list. In this case, however, the institutions which contribute to the central repository would like their names to appear in the Harvester2 browse list, linked to their own subset of content, rather than the name of the single shared OAI data source.
We thought we could do this by registering each institution separately as a content provider in Harvester2 and then using set specs to collect the records on a per institution basis. The problem is that, in order to initiate this, each of the new institutional targets would need first to be registered with the same base OAI URL. Harvester2 Admin disallows registration of new archives with base URLs that are already in use.
Is it possible to override the default and make Harvester2 accept repeated instances of an OAI base URL in its Archives record? (I recognise that this is not an ideal situation, but we'd like to try and keep our content providers happy.)
Thanks
