Hi Alexua,

Do you mean that you'd like to add a new metadata schema (e.g. Dublin Core, Marc, etc), a new set of metadata (e.g. a list of library holdings), or a new metadata field (e.g. extending Dublin Core to contain a new field)?

At present addition to existing to the scheme of metadata (for example Dublin Core) a new field of metadata (for example a rating or something like) interests. But a ultimate goal creation of the new scheme of metadata probably is required. It is a question of use Harvestera 2 for various research institutes which probably it is necessary to use new schemes of metadata.
But I so understand if there is an opportunity to create new fields of metadata that it automatically enables to create new schemes of metadata.

P.S. Problems of a forum it was necessary To be registered Once again :)

Hi Alex_123,

Sorry about the account deletion; the forum adminstrator probably thought yours was a spam account...

Harvester2 implements its various schema as plugins; if you're familiar with PHP, see plugins/schemas/dc, for example. (This is the Dublin Core plugin.) If you'd like to implement a new schema, this is probably the way to begin -- but keep in mind that you'll also have to have a data source that supports this schema.

If you're just looking to extend Dublin Core, there's an example plugin that does this as well. See plugins/generic/pkpdc for more information.

The Harvester2 technical reference describes many of the concepts involved. It's available at http://pkp.sfu.ca/harvester2/TechnicalReference.pdf.
