Invalid homepage header title image format or upload failed

Hi

In the conference homepage header section, I am able to upload jpgs and gifs but not pngs. The error message is:

Invalid homepage header title image format or upload failed. Accepted formats are .gif, .jpg, or .png.

Any help appreciated. This is rather urgent as I have to have the web site up and running as soon as possible.

Hello makemywish,

This is most likely a problem in the server's mime_type configuration.
Check for the mime.types or mime.magic files (one is for Apache, which is easier to configure) and add the .png format.
Search this forum for mime.type or mime_magic, or any other combination.
You'll find plenty of related topics here and Google.

Thanks for the response.

I added the following

1 string PNG image/png

to mime.magic

located in usr/local/apache/conf/

and restarted apache.

Can anyone tell me what the dimensions are for the header or banner? Since the text wraps we're creating a banner for our header and need to figure out the dimensions. We're tried several sizes and no such luck.
