What to do if you have a technical problem with OCS:
1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

User self-registration and roles in OCS

We want to disable the "reviewer" option in the user registration ("reader" and "author" is OK), but I can't find the option to do this. I've been able to find it in the OJS documentation, but there doesn't seem to be the ability to do this in OCS (and I couldn't find any forum postings on this either). Help?

Hello walkman,
OCS works a bit differently from OJS.
It uses a timeline where starting and end dates are defined for almost every step of the process, including registration, submissions, reviews, reviewer registration, and so on.
If memory serves, that's where you'll be able to prevent undesired registration in most roles.
