What to do if you have a technical problem with OCS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved. Please note that this FAQ is OJS-centric, but most issues are applicable to both platforms.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OCS Conference Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OCS Development subforum.

Creating custom smarty tag

Postby johnkperks » Sat Nov 05, 2011 10:20 am

Hello,

We wish to create custom smarty tags for our conference. For example, the tag we wish to create is a custom HTML signature with several important conference related links so, we don't have to put them again in every email. Secondly, we wish to include our conference logo in the signature or header of the email.

The questions I have are:
1. Is it possible to create HTML signature and what location will it be put in?
2. Similarly, is it possible to put a logo within the standard email going from OCS? and if yes, how to include it.
3. Has anyone got a sample smarty tag for such a signature?

Hi John,

You can add to a universal signature attached to all emails for that particular scheduled conference by modifying Scheduled Conference Setup Step 1.5. I don't believe there is currently a way to add an image to the email signature, but you may want to try adding an img link to see if that works.

Cheers,
James
