What to do if you have a technical problem with OCS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved. Please note that this FAQ is OJS-centric, but most issues are applicable to both platforms.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OCS Conference Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OCS Development subforum.

OCS refuses to upload submissions larger than 1 MB

We have installed the recent OCS and are using it to handle submissions for a conference. However, recently we encountered a problem; apperantly, any upload of a file larger than inbetween 1 and 2 MB in fails:

Specifically: in the browser during step 3 of the submission process, I select the file I want to upload and select 'upload'. I wait for some time and than the browser refreshes but the file does not appear to be uploaded. Since I get no error message, I am puzzled for the cause of this problem. Does anyone has any ideas?

The serverspace is sufficient (14 GB left) and during installation I set my php-restrictions from 8 to 64 MB. What else can it be?

Perhaps increase the memory and time out in php.ini as well. If you increase the upload size, you want to allow more time on the server to accept large files.
