submission mode changing

Dear Mr. James MacGregor,

We are using ocs for our conference. While setting up the conference, we had selected only "abstract" mode for the submission. In fact, our evaluation process is such as accepting the submission only from the abstracts and then requesting the full papers from the authors only in pdf format.
Now, the abstract submission will be ended in a few days, we have many abstracts submitted in this mode, and we will start to evaluate the abstracts shortly. We are familiar old version of the ocs and we have used it in 2007. In that version, the authors could be able to upload their papers after the notification of acceptance. When we investigate through the new version of ocs, we have realized that we have had selected "abstract followed by presentation" mode during the conference setup.
As a result, what should we do? We have tried several ways such as uploading dummy abstracts, then changing the submission mode to "abstract followed by presentation" mode, then accepting the paper by director decision (by clilcking the "complete" button). But unfortunately, the author could not be able to load the full paper.
Could you please advice us for this problem. What should we do at this time? We could be able to change the database manually but we don't know which table and/or which fileds should be cahanged.

Hi Suleyman,

You should be able to execute...

UPDATE papers SET review_mode = 3

...on your database, but I suggest you test that first on one paper (i.e. one row in the papers table), then login as the author of that paper (you can use the 'Login as' feature as a journal manager) to see if it worked.
