Visualization startDate - endDate

Postby anna_marini » Fri Sep 19, 2008 4:24 am

Hi all,
I noticed that if the startDate doesn't differ from the endDate, in the conference home page (and others pages) OCS displays the date repeated.. not so cute!
It' correct to modify the templates involved whit a smarty {if} for the variables startDate and endDate?

Hi Anna,

Yes, you can modify the templates and include an if statement to determine whether the start date and end date is equal. However, there are several places in OCS that show the dates for an event in such a fashion, so it might take a bit of time to hunt them all down (You can probably just do a file search on 'startDate'). On the home page, however, you can change the behavior by modifying templates/schedConf/index.tpl (at line 21). Let us know if you need any further help.

Hi Matt,
if someone else needs, these are the templates to modify:
- /template/schedConf/index.tpl (line 21)
- /template/conference/index.tpl (line 47)
- /template/conference/current.tpl (line 26)
- /template/conference/archive.tpl (line 25 )
- /templates/search/schedConfIndex.tpl (line 29)
