What to do if you have a technical problem with OCS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved. Please note that this FAQ is OJS-centric, but most issues are applicable to both platforms.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OCS Conference Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OCS Development subforum.

Problems with accommodation section

Postby stephanehess » Thu Aug 07, 2008 4:09 am

Hi,

I'm having a strange problem with the accommodation section on my conference website (http://www.jocm.org.uk/conference/index ... ommodation).

I have changed the name to Travel/Accommodation, but that doesn't seem to be what's causing the problem (I tried reverting to the old one).

As you can see, I have added some text as well as three pdfs. However, when I go into the site maintenance section, and go to Travel/Accommodation, the files and text fields are blank. If I enter some new text into the text field, the old one disappears. But there doesn't seem to be anything I can do about the attachments already there.

Thanks

Stephane

Hi Stephane,

This is definitely a bug, and I'll report it shortly (and post the relevant bug report here). In the meantime: if you upload a new document, does the page refresh and all of a sudden show your older files (with an option to delete them)?

Thanks,
James

James,

thanks. This has fixed it now.

However, I have also noticed another problem. In the programme (renamed) section under conference site management, I have entered "No programme available at the present time." It has saved this because when I go back into that admin section, it lists it. However, when I go to the actual programme section for website users (i.e. not administrators) at http://www.jocm.org.uk/conference/index ... nf/program, that message doesn't show up.

Hi Stephane,

Good to hear the accommodations page is working. The Programme behaviour is a bug and has already been fixed -- http://pkp.sfu.ca/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3640
