Forum rules
What to do if you have a technical problem with OCS:

1. Search the forum. You can do this from the Advanced Search Page or from our Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we especially recommend searching the forum for said error.

2. Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved. Please note that this FAQ is OJS-centric, but most issues are applicable to both platforms.

3. Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the OCS Conference Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the OCS Development subforum.

For our conference we would like to peer-review the abstracts, and let the accepted authors submit their full paper making it available without peer-review of the full paper. Is this possible?

Hi Vidar,

Yes, you can limit the original submission to abstract-only, which will be peer reviewed; you can then request the full paper after.

To limit author submissions to abstract-only, see conference Setup Step 2.1: you'll be able to choose what kind of submission materials the conference accepts.

If you limit author submissions to abstract first followed by the presentation, the author will be able to log in and upload their paper submission once the abstract has been approved. Technically, there will be a peer review process in place for paper submissions as well, but the director can skip this step and then approve/reject the submission.

OK, I hoped there was a way to skip the paper review process entirely, especially to avoid the "In review"-status shown to authors after submitting, but we'll just have to inform them that only the abstract will be peer reviewed.
