Forum rules
What to do if you have a technical problem with OCS:1.
Search the forum. You can do this from the
Advanced Search Page or from our
Google Custom Search, which will search the entire PKP site. If you are encountering an error, we
especially recommend searching the forum for said error.
2.
Check the FAQ to see if your question or error has already been resolved. Please note that this FAQ is OJS-centric, but most issues are applicable to both platforms.
3.
Post a question, but please, only after trying the above two solutions. If it's a workflow or usability question you should probably post to the
OCS Conference Support and Discussion subforum; if you have a development question, try the
OCS Development subforum.

Hi, all
In the [Abstract and Paper Submission form] I always get this message:
Warning: include_once(include/db.inc.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\xampp\htdocs\congress2008\include\validate.inc.php on line 31
but the form works fine.
Any solution?
Thanks

Hi Panos,
Is this a fresh installation of OCS? If so, did you follow the installation instructions in docs/README? Check to make sure that C:\xampp\htdocs\congress2008\include\db.inc.php exists.

Thank you for your quick response. It was my fault. Old ocs installation.
I want to notice something else about the characters encoding and the character sets for other languages than english, cause i saw that this is a problem for a lot of participants in this forum.
I'm using english, french and greek character sets in the same OCS installation with EasyPHP or Xampp as Http servers. For this configuration the solution is to move iconv.dll from the php library directly in the apache dir (c:\easyPHP\apache or c:\xampp\apache). I think this is helpful.
And something more, We prepare as soon as possible a full OCS translation for greek language.
That's all, and thank yoy again.
